Awards & Accolades

We are not averse to awards, but we don’t hanker after awards as well. At Amy Max, we realize that pretty pictures don’t always sell. of the 41 advertising agencies that won the Clio awards, 31 lost some or all of those accounts? (Source: Al Reies and Jack Trout’s The Positioning Era Cometh)

Advertising Age, which tracked Clio ward winning executions to sales, found that more than one third of the agencies winning Clio awards lost the account within the next 18 months, mostly because the executions failed to increase sales.

We don’t make that mistake. We don’t design good-looking products (that may be incidental); we design hot selling products. We let the customer inform our design. The man or woman in the street often know more about the product they want to buy than the company or the design knows about the product they want to sell. Look around yourself. Much of the spending that masquerades as design is a waste of the client’s time and money.

While most design agencies may be doing a honest job of putting their client’s interest first, some do a better job of marketing their own excellence than creating true value for their customers — which is what we don’t do. At Amy Max, we know our true worth to our clients. And you can be our scorekeeper. We are not in this game just for fun. We are here on serious business.
